Who is Taichi Nishida? / Taichiって誰？
I am a Japanese illustrator who is currently living in Tokyo. I am a 2006 graduate of BA Illustration course at University College Falmouth (Falmouth College of Arts) and worked as an illustrator for some clients in central London after leaving the college, and then I came back to Tokyo, Japan in the end of September 2006.
2006年6月英国University College Falmouth (ファルマス芸術大学)のイラストレーションコース卒業。卒業後、ロンドンでフリーで活動したあと、9月末に日本に帰国。帰国後すぐに東京は南青山にあるイラストレーターのエンジェンシーPICT-WEBに所属。

About My Style / 制作の方法
I’ve produced lots of artworks for different projects such as; Editorial illustration, Children’s Book, Packaging, Poster, CD Jacket, and Narrative illustration. I usually work digitaly using Photoshop and Illustrator, but at first I draw lines and etc on a paper, and scan them into my PowerBook G4, then finish them. Although I work digitally, I hate the quality and the atomoshere of digital media because it is kind of too artificial and not suitable for me. So, I use my own original shape of brushes on the Photoshop.
これまで大学での制作もふくめ、エディトリアル、パッケージング、ポスター、絵本、CDのアートワークなどなどいろいろやってきましたが、そのほとんどはいわゆるデジタルな手法をとっています。簡単にいうと、まずラフを鉛筆とかで描いてスキャンしてPowerBookにとりこみ、そしてPhotoshopで制作します。デジタルな手法はとっていますが、僕自身、いわゆる「デジタルなイラストレーション」を好まないので、「デジタルなんだけどデジタルに見えない」ようなスタイルでやることが多いです。案件によってそこらへんは使い分けてますが。
